Fastener function exist?
Hi.
Recently, when I attended a seminar, they demonstrated a 'Fastener function' on site. It seemed like there is a lisp program for that. What it does is by touching point on a surface it creates through hole to two parts together and put bolt and nut. ( or bolt and thread?) Is there such a lisp code already? Thank you.

Re: Fastener function exist?
Thank you, Gary.
The one I have seen had Hex bolt fastened. Does it have other type of screws as well? Like the one I attache, here? P.S.As a consequent, the hole for this type of screw need to be counter bored too, though.

Re: Fastener function exist?
Part library has a large selection of screws. Please note that part library will not generate a screw with actual threads as shown in your attachment. We do not recommend that users generate actual threads, as it is a waste of machine resources.
The screw geometry is flagged as having a thread, and Annotation will recognize this and generate the proper 2D hidden lines. Part library allows you to generate the holes for the screws, and yes it will generate the counterbore needed for your socket head cap screw. |
