Advanced Design Question (positioning relations)
All:
Now that we own some licenses of the Advanced Design Module, I am working with positioning relations to control the location of all the components in my assemblies, so that when components change the assembly stays together, with all the effected components automatically moving where they need to to stay in the correct location. My question is this: As I make changes to the design, relations are sometimes damaged and/or destroyed. You do get notification of which ones were affected, but it is cryptic and nearly impossible to tell which actual components were affected. Is there a way to look at an assembly and deterimine which components are underconstrained without clicking through each relation and seeing which faces light up? Right now, I've lost track of which components are still "mated" and which are broken. Steve |

Re: Advanced Design Question (positioning relations)
haven't tested this out, but i'm guessing you would be able to see what relations are broken through the relations browser (in the Edit Relations menu).

Also, in the Structure Browser, you can select a particular relation and expand it (kind of like what you do with Views) to see which components are in a particular relation. |
