Re: FE report

I have never done this, but there is some documentation under the Online Help for version 2006. Under Contents click the Documentation for advanced users link at the bottom. Then in the right frame click Design Analysis, Configation (mispelled in help page), then scroll down to the Customizing Study Reports section.

Can you explain what you mean? Did you already check the documentation for customizing reports?

You first need to make sure you have a working VRML viewer embedded in your web browser. You can either download a free viewer like Cosmo, or purchase a viewer.

To attach an "image" to the report you need to activate the Report section of the Images portion of the report. You then need to type in a file name like Study1_res.wrl Also you need to turn on the option Embedded.

If your VRML viewer is working properly, you should then see an embedded VRML viewer in your html report. You can then view, animate and even rotate the image to inspect the results through your web browser.

Re: FE report

Hi,

I tried a few days to get high quality pictures of the analysis result - and now i got it
You can give out your construction window to a printer. In the window presets there are two kinds of output possibilities: first is to give out to a bitmap or other kind of picture file. The problem with the first option is, that the pictures are in a low quality.
The second possibility is to give out the window to a printer. In the printing dialogue you can klick on output to a .tiff file ... there you get your picture with a really high solution. I am using this for presentations now - hope it may help you too.

Re: FE report

File => Hi Resolution print (with box checked for "print to file")
I save all the tiffs with the report and gemetery, every time i try to follow the instructions in the customization guide for FEA, the program crashes.
So Chris, would you please send an E-mail request to my I.T. department requesting the VRML viewr software installed,(other FEA programs, include it for free) because whenever I ask them for anything installed the answer is NO, if you really needed it, it would come with the .........

Re: FE report

To make it simple, move the model with the fea near the contour map. Go to edit -> cut menu. put a box around the part and the contour map. Paste this into an image viewer and save it.
