Issue of Installing CoCreate Modeling 2008 in MS Vista 64bit....

After installing several times, there is always a Error message.
It seems Some problem with VC or VB....
But how can I install CoCreate Modeling in Vista 64bit system successfully?

You said that you installed Modeling 2008 "a couple of times" - can you tell us a little more about the installation (and uninstallation?) sequence?

Are you running the Modeling-only installer, or the top-level installer for the CoCreate product family?

Thanks for your reminding.
I have tried many times(more than 20 times) with different option checked.
Even the simple selection - only modeling module.....cause the same Error again....

By the way.....
I have tried to install 32-bit CoCreate Modeling in 64bit Vista......
The same Error.....Again.....
WHY????

Well, I'm not sure what happens in your case. Modeling requires the Visual C++ 2005 SP1 runtime distributables to be installed on your system, and the message you're seeing may be related to those runtime libraries. Our installer is supposed to provide those libraries for you, though.

Microsoft provides a standalone installer package for those libraries at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en . Maybe you could try this on your system and then reinstall Modeling.

It seems that is still some problem......
Please kindly see the attached pic.
The similar problem occured when install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64)"......
I think I should re-install Operating System....again....

Interesting - the same error message!

So it seems that our installer fails at the same point where Microsoft's installation package fails, i.e. while trying to install Microsoft runtime libraries.

I'm googling around for discussions around that "error 1935" in relation to runtime library installations. No conclusive data yet. Will post again if I find anything promising.

Just so that we don't have to look up the error message in a bitmap image all the time - here's the error message in all its natural beauty:

Error 1935: 'Microsoft.VC80.ATL, type="win32", version="8.0.50727.762",
publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", processorArchitecture="amd64"' - HRESULT: 0x80070424

The HRESULT code stands for "The specified service does not exist as an installed service". It's probably possible to find out which service is missing by running Procmon during the installation attempt (let it log all registry accesses).

There may also be additional information in the event log.

problems may cause service pack because i am using cocreate in 64bit vista with no problems

But Still Thank for your effort.

After I re-install Vista 64-bit Again with the same Media.....
It' works.....
CoCreate Modeling 64bit now is normal on my system....

I think there is something wrong then...
