Will Windchill be ModelManager replacement?

I have gone through PTC CoCreate Roadmap teleconference recently. PTC announced that Modeling/Drafting will be integrated into Windchill product. At the mean, PTC said that they will continue to maintain ModelManager just to make existing "customers happy".

I would love to hear your comments, feedbacks and etc that Winchill to be potentially replacement of ModelManger.

Re: Will Windchill be ModelManager replacement?

Hello Teh,

Just to clarify. PTC is integrating the CoCreate applications into the PTC Product Development System (PDS). Windchill is part of the PDS as well as many other complimentary products like IsoDraw, Mathcad, Pro/ToolMaker, Synapsis and so on. These products, including Windchill, can add much value for companies that are using the CoCreate products.

The integration of the CoCreate applications into the PDS, and more specifically into Windchill, does not mean in any way that Model Manager will somehow take a back seat in the development plans. It’s all about solving real problems, keeping customers happy and making money! . Considering those criteria, Model Manager is a success, and as such will continue to be developed and integrated. With its success you can consider your investment into Model Manager as a good and safe investment. Replacing Model Manager with Windchill with be YOUR choice.
