Drawing attributes
I need to query an attribute I created in the DRAWING_2D class. Then use the string returned to populate a text reference. I've gotten through creating the text reference. I need help with polling the attribute value so I can use it in an if statement. I have very little experience with customization. Others in my organization have had success getting an attribute from a 3d view using (oli::sd-inq-item-attribute). Is there a way to use this command or a different command that would accomplish my goal.
I'm new to this, so feel free to call me out if I'm way off base. |

Re: Drawing attributes
Are you talking about passing an attribute from DrawingManager to Drafting, then doing something with that attribute inside of Drafting?

Re: Drawing attributes
Ultimately, the plan is to use a Drawing attribute from ModelManager to populate a text reference in Annotation. I'm not sure if Annotation is the same as Drafting. The thing I need to figure out is how to query a Drawing attribute (attribute in DRAWING_2D class).

Re: Drawing attributes
If the attribute is the base point of the block, try this: -attedit.
Select the block, click enter, select the attribute and follow the instructions untill you see ‘Position’. At this point you can drag the attribute where ever you want.. Goog luck, Stanleys! |
