Different color for each face
Morning,
I substract one part on another one and move the first part to repeat this operation with differents positions. This operation could be repeat more than 500 times. I would like to see where operation has been made, to check the evolution of operations. So is it possible to assign a color at each result face as image below ? I wrote :"(sd-call-cmds (part_prop part1 :color (* 3 c) :done))" c is a counter but this only change the color of the cutter part. Last edited by Yoyovento; 06-16-2009 at 12:39 AM. |

Re: Different color for each face
Those holes aren't parts, hence setting part colors won't buy you much in this case. From your descriptions, it sounds that what you really want to do is set the color of all faces in a feature (such as a hole).

Re: Different color for each face
that's true. Firstly I guess if I change the color of the part and substract it I will get faces colored but it's wrong, that's why I need set the color of lastes faces machined.
Do you know how to proceed ? Have you got more informations about the color function ? |

Re: Different color for each face
Hint: You can select faces by (recognized) feature - see online help for more information.
I'm in the midst of an all-week training session, so I won't be able to dig into this much deeper this week, sorry. Hope someone else can help out. Claus
