Translating DXF files to MI

I am running Windows XP and v 7.0 of ME10, which is quite ancient. Apart from the weird dongle problems, I am trying to translate DXF files into MI files but when I click on the DXF icon to do the translation all that happens is that there is a quick flash of a window and nothing else. I've tried opening a DOS window and running DXF.EXE from the command line, using the [-i] and DXF filenames but again I get the quick flash and nothing else.

Any suggestions?

Re: Translating DXF files to MI

Hello Fred,

I think DXF.exe version 7.0 is unsupported on Windows XP OS. You should copy DXFDWG directory from more recent version to your older one and try again (with DXFDWG.exe)

Is there an error window saying the file is read-only and cant be process, if that is the problem then i think file is corrupted and you cant use that.
