Default Age Of Viewed Threads Changed
Due to the low activity on many of the forums, people who opened a forum for viewing would see only a few threads or no threads at all. This is because the default was to show only threads with activity in the last 30 days. I changed this to 365 days for all the forums in the General and Applications categories. I changed it to 1000 (show all) for the regional user group forums which get even less activity. If the activity in any forum increases to the point these settings open too many pages, we can always reduce it in the future.
I think this change will reduce confusion. New people visiting the forums might not realize that there are more threads than what is presented by the default view. This way they will see a reasonable number of threads. If anyone has any problems or concerns related to this change let me know. __________________________________________________ Buick quick strut Buick complete strut assembly Ford complete strut assembly Last edited by ElvisStuart; 07-20-2010 at 12:29 AM. |

Re: Default Age Of Viewed Threads Changed
Is this for this forum or for another? With only 4 post count, I'm confused.

Re: Default Age Of Viewed Threads Changed
Hello Elvis.
Welcome to the forum but somehow you are causing old posts to be reposted as if they are new. This is a duplicate of a thread named Default Age Of Viewed Threads Changed that I posted back in Jan 2003. This is confusing people. If you are having difficulties understanding how to use the forum please read the Getting Started thread for tips.
