Move the whole object?
Hi,
is it possible to move whole object using move3d? Now I'm using modify3d/Move and select "Group of face"... then rotate the gizmo... How can move more precisely an object... Thank you Marco |

Re: Move the whole object?
Click a vertex of the part (to select the whole part), then use "Position" from the context menu.

Re: Move the whole object?
OK!
It seems that OSM be very very very powerful... No dimensions, no sketch, no problem about modeling relations... Thank you Claus Marco |

Re: Move the whole object?
Also, you can change the move options available with CoPilot depending on what you pre-select. Choosing a vertex keeps motion along normal axes. Picking an edge gives motion along that edge or rotation around it. Picking a face gives rotation on that face plus planar (I think).

Re: Move the whole object?
Hi,
just a word of warning: suppose, you have 100 screws in a machine. When you move 1 screw with Position, only that screw will move. If you would select all faces of that screw and move it with Move 3D, ALL screws would move by that same amount!! So it's important that you understand the difference between the 2 commands... Kind regards, Jaap |
