Running v16 with MM2005
Has anyone out there run OSD16 with an older version of MM? I'm thinking of trying out v16, but I won't be able to upgrade the MM database (currently running v13.20a).
Assuming MM doesn't mind, I assume I'd only need to update my customization files accordingly and do a bit of cleanup. |

Re: Running v16 with MM2005
Mixing versions isn't supported, but I'm not sure if it is prevented. The version of ModelManager must match the version of Modeling. I wouldn't try is otherwise. Besides that, if you save data in Modeling 16, you will not be able to open it again in Modeling 13. In modeling 16 you can only go back to v15

Yes, the backsaving would be an issue. I know there are unofficial ways to backsave further than one release, though.
The last I checked, the current release of MM doesn't run under Solaris and will only run under Windows. That would be a problem since our current version is on a Sun box. |

Re: Running v16 with MM2005
I think CoCreate even advises to have the same patch-versions, e.g. Modeling 15.50E - MM 15.50E.
With DDM 1 lower version was always supported. |
