Any trick to determine front direction with round part?
Hi.
Actually, the part I show here is purchased so I don't have to draw 2D drawing at all. But I wonder how I could determine the desired direction for this kind of shape. Normally, I find a flat face where I can use the annotation's standard directional tools, but with this shape I need leave as it is since I cannot pick front direction from anywhere of the part. Could you suggest any method? Thank you.

Workplane on axis and then U,V,W.
X, Y and Z are always available if it's square to world origin. Two points, select center and then outer edge. Probably more but these are off of the top of my head. |

Align your axis to the Z-axis, then in the front view direction selection, right click and select XYZ system => X-axis
