FEA core from 1998, update needed....
Viagra, Bill Clinton, Saving Private Ryan: 1998 seams like only yesterday. So I have two questions: 1) why is the Cocreate FEA module based on the MCS Nastran 70.5 core from 1998? A non-acceptable answer would be "due to the high level of customization within the software" since the "high level of customization" is a selling point of most Cocreate software, not a crutch. My second Question: What else has been updated since 1998? I'm no longer using windows 98.

Re: FEA core from 1998, update needed....
Ok, things that happen in 1999:
For the first time, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closes above the 10,000 mark, at 10,006.78. Napster, a music downloading service, debuts. World population reaches 6 billion people, as the 6 billionth person (according to the UN) is born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Stanley Kubrick died... Well, reasons enough to stay in history, isnn't it? On the other hand, ANSYS starts to support CoCreate, so analysing will be in good hands also in 2009 - what is not true for the Dow Jones ;-) |
