finding detailed views for modelled parts/assembly
Dear All,
I want to write a program that shows me list of part names/numbers whose detailing has not been done in annotation. The model can be a part/assembly containing multiple sheets in annotation. Can anyone give me an idea/example/guidelines/logic on how to go about. Re: finding detailed views for modelled parts/assembly
Hi,
It depends on how things are organized. From your description I think you use one annotation drawing for a complete assembly, with separate sheets to created part drawings. You can go and loop through those sheets, get all views, and then get all the view owners. Then you can go through all parts in the assembly and check if the part is in the first list (i.e. has a view attached to it). If you are using modelmanager I would just create a separate drawing for each part. Then you can just check if the part has a drawing attached to it. Regards, Marten |
