How to look for macro code the same as LISP, for example:

Thanks.

Re: How to look for macro code the same as LISP?

Just curious: Why write macro code if you already have Lisp code which does what you want?

Re: How to look for macro code the same as LISP?

I merged the duplicate threads and left a 30 day redirect for the Annotation thread because this sounds more like a customization topic.

It might help to provide some more detail. I don't really understand what you want to do with macro code in Annotation.

Re: How to look for macro code the same as LISP?

FWIW, am_dim_common_location has been obsoleted in v15. The setting can now be changed from the Anno settings browser.

That said, you can probably achieve a similar effect by running macro code - just look up the equivalent function in the CoCreate Drafting API reference. However, Annotation's default settings may override your local macro code, so you'd have to take care of such problems in your macro code, too.

Frankly, I still don't understand why adding a trivial "(am_dim_common_location :above)" one-liner to am_customize could be worse (or more complicated, or whatever) than doing the equivalent operation in macro code...
