Re: embed pdf file into mi

I am not sure about this but it could have something to do with PLOT_RESOLUTION.
PLOT_RESOLUTION is used for setting the resolution of pdf files created by ME10.
Maybe it also affects plotting of an embedded pdf file.

Look in the help files for more info on PLOT_RESOLUTION

Re: embed pdf file into mi

I have the same problem. I can find anything at all on google or in the help about "PLOT_RESOLUTION"
I've tried importing something from excel and and OLE in Excel, PDF. A picture film (BMP/JPG/PNG) etc. What ever I try the resolution looks terrible. There's some text and it's not readable, despite being very high quality on the source file. Even when I scale up the PDF/image etc up to fill a whole A2 sheet it's missing stripes and low quality

Can anyone help?

Re: embed pdf file into mi

Ok so I've got a Tiff. How would I go about loading it as a Pixmap?

I found another solution. I print the drawing to PDF Creator as a huge size (A0). then print the PDF scaled down to the appropriate size. However it isnt quick.

Edit: Now using Scan2CAD to get everything into dxf. works well.
I dont think they'll ever properly fix the importing images/objects in CoCreate. It simply isnt programmed to do anything but take a low res sample of the image

Re: embed pdf file into mi

Hi, Sherlock. Thanks for sharing your problem. As for me, I have seldom tried to print the drawing to PDF Creator as a huge size (A0) and then print the PDF scaled down to the appropriate size before. Have you ever worked it out? I wonder whether you have any exprience about pdf extraction process. Because there is something wrong with my pdf reader. I need convert pdf into text or other formats. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Lee

Re: embed pdf file into mi

Try printing to the clipboard and pasting. I am not sure if this works in drafting, but it works excellent in annotation. I can past the clipboard into any document I want including word and excel.
