Ptcu

We are looking at purchasing PTCU for CoCreate

Has anybody tried PTCU for CoCreate?

Is this a worthwhile investment?

Is it a good tool for training new users?

Thanks

Tom

Re: Ptcu

If you are referring to the cocreate training that PTC offers via the Precision LMS web based system, I can recommend it.

The courses are complete, contain lots of audio and video, and the Precision LMS system offers some tools that allow an administrator to observe usage, deploy "testing", etc.

Of course, the recommendation depends on how much PTC is going to try to charge you for it.

also, during the discussion with PTC you should ask them if your purchase entitle you to whatever the "project lightning" effort produces...for instance, if in the next few years you find yourself switching from cocreate to whatever the lightning equivalent is, you'll want to be sure to ask them to provide for that in the deal...

Re: Ptcu

Hi Tom,

PTC University offers a number of different training options for learning CoCreate from the experts. As the previous user mentioned, CoCreate (version 17.0 and forward) has been renamed Creo Elements/Direct.

PTC University supports older versions of CoCreate for training, if you already own them. The training options include eLearning (web-based, self-paced courses); instructor-led training (training taught in a classroom by a live instructor); or virtual classes (instructor-led training in a virtual format - from your own desk).

More information on these training options are available on PTC University's website. http://www.ptc.com/products/ptc-university/

Finding the training that is right for you depends on which version of the software you are using and what in particular you may be focusing on.

You can always talk to a training advisor to find out the right option that will help you to get the most out of CoCreate & Creo Elements/Direct. http://www.ptc.com/services/training/contact.htm
