Dimensioning units
Hey guys,
I'm working on something right now, and the units happen to be in millimeters... I've got my units set to mm/deg/g but when I try creating dimensions in a drawing, they show up as inch equivalents (for example, I know the part I created is 535mm in diameter but when I create the diameter dimension, it shows 21.064 is there a separate way to change display dimensions or something? |

Re: Dimensioning units
Figured this out after a little searching. If anyone else encounters this-
First, click on the dimension. The little popup toolbar comes up above your mouse, click "Dim properties" and change the units to whatever you want. |

Re: Dimensioning units
If you would like to change the default behavior:
goto edit -> setttings -> Default Settings and change the value from DIN to ASME or another one of your liking. You can also change anything beneat this to change a single item, in your case Annotation->Dimension->Text->Main Value->Length Unit Style

I think for now I won't need to change anything, I was just re-creating a drawing that we originally had done in China for our operations here in the U.S. but good info for the future! |

Re: Dimensioning units
user units <> dimension units
To make it clear: The units used for modeling and drawing (as shown in the lower right end of the bottom line) are NOT mandatory the units you would like to see/use in the dimension VALUES. These are two different things. --------- And dimensions can have 2 values (for one measurement) representing different units.
