Old ME10-fonts
Hi,
We're converting some of our old ME10-drawings to AutoCAD. Some of the texts are wrongly converted, because we don't have the right font. This font was specially created. Is it possible to * Convert this font to autocad shx-file ? * decompile the ME10 fnt-fontfile ? Or, are there other possibilities to convert the drawings and fonts to similar AutoCAD-files ? Kind Regards, Cosa |

Re: Old ME10-fonts
I don't know of any way to convert a custom Drafting font to an AutoCAD font. The only option that comes to mind is to convert the text that uses the custom font to geometry in Drafting and export to DWG/DXF. Unfortunately it will no longer be text so you won't be able to edit or modify it like text. But it will look like the original drawing and print.

Re: Old ME10-fonts
You should be able to change it in your dxfdwg.con file.
There is a series of lines that tell it what to convert the Drafting font to: FontMapMItoACAD "osd_default" "txt.shx" 0.90 "" 0 1.666 Where the osd_default is the Drafting font and the txt.shx is the acad font. Put in the name of your custom font in place of the osd_default and then pick the existing font in acad that you want. |
