Does Cocreate has any free-version products to view osd files?
Does any Cocreate free-version products can view, just view BDL, PKG, MI files? I want to install it in my manufactors' computer, and they just need to view instead of editing the files.

Re: Does Cocreate has any free-version products to view osd files?
CoCreate does offer a viewer for native 3D model and 2D drawing files named "3D Access". However, last I heard it was not free and in fact was somewhat expensive. You should contact your CoCreate sales rep about getting "3D Access".
3D Access is not a typical file viewer. It is basically a stripped down version of full Modeling with all the features needed to create new models and drawings removed. It does allow viewing, measuring, rendering, printing and even some modifications and translation to/from other formats. As such it is a large install (700MB) and loads somewhat slowly compared to most file viewers.

Re: Does Cocreate has any free-version products to view osd files?
I used to use a Cocreate product in other's computer, named "???? model explorer 2005", it could open the files BDL, PKG, MI. And in my memory, it seems to be a free version (but I'm not sure if it is really free.)
I searched the key words "model explorer 2005" by search angine and find out following Cocreate "2005" products: CoCreate OneSpace Designer Modeling 2005 CoCreate OneSpace Designer Drafting 2005 CoCreate OneSpace.net model explorer 2005 CoCreate OneSpace Designer Modeling Server 2005 CoCreate OneSpace Designer 2DAccess 2005 So, is "model explorer 2005" the pre-version of "3D access" or not? Or whether the two has some relations? |

Re: Does Cocreate has any free-version products to view osd files?
The names "3D Access" and "Model Explorer" were both used for the CoCreate native file viewer at various times. They were essentially the same application but I don't remember why there were different names. Maybe someone from CoCreate can shed some light on this.
There is also a viewer for 2D/MI files only named "2D Access" which is also not free as far as I know. It was previously called "ME10 View". Neither is available for free download, you must work with your CoCreate sales representative to get access to them.

Yes. 3D Access can open, view, measure and print MI files created by Annotation or Drafting. As far as I know 3D Access and Model Explorer are identical except for the name.

Model Explorer is available to customers who have a OneSpace.net Account. You can download it from OneSpace.net Project Workspace.
CoCreate OneSpace.net Model Explorer has not been updated for a while. It will not load models from CoCreate Modeling version 15.x or 16.x |

Other options you might like to use are XVL or eDrawings. But then the source needs to have the corresponding licenses. An other nice option is to have 3DPDF or U3D to view the data in a PDF format. On all of those the "viewer" itself is downloadable but to write the file you need to have the correct license

that's not what was asked for. When you want to use eDrawings you first have to export your 3d / 2d to the eDrawings format using a licensed version of the CoCreate product(s).
