Is there a way to put annotation for Conter bore?

I wonder if there is the easy way to put counter bore hole annotation?
The thread was easy at the end. But Counter bore seems not that simple.
How can we do it at once?
Or there is no way to do this?
Thank you.

If you use the Machining Module and create the counterbores as Machined features, you can port the 3D Annotation to 2D and it will automatically have linked labels that will update properly.

Unless you're referring to treating the counterbore notes as a bit of prefix text?

Re: Is there a way to put annotation for Conter bore?

Sorry for not including more information. I was in the middle of doing some other stuff and couldn't formulate a longer response.

With the Machining Module, you can create certain predefined features, such as counterbores, countersinks, certain tapped hole sizes, etc. Once these are created, you should see a 3D label pointing to it in your Modeling session.

Once you open Annotation, under the View menu, go to Transfer 3D Anno. It will ask you where you want to attach the 2D labels for your features. It will only let you select valid geometry for this, so you can't accidentally add a counterbore designation to a corner or something.

I've dabbled with it back in OSD 2005, but I'm not sure how things are done now in OSD 2008. You can do similar things with Docuplanes for other features/dimensions, then transferring them to Annotation.

Re: Is there a way to put annotation for Conter bore?

Thank you.
I am using 2007 15.0C.
And I seem to remember there is the way to transfer the 3D annotation using docuplane. (Wolfgang taught me long time back.)

I was not ready for this at 3D annotation, and I simply put all at default.
So none of them are placed in the docuplane.
(Too late...)

But the threads are fine using Diameter tool it worked fine.
I was hoping Counter bore may have been assigned one of the Default setting option's specific as well. But it seems.... not that way.

Thank you for your taking time.
Best Regards.

No problem: you can gather 'free' 3D Annotations to a docuplane at any time (in the DP menu) and then you can transfer them to a 2D Annotation view as usual.
